2004 Looking to see what the latest graduating
class looks like? Here are the newest alums who
received degrees in May of 2003.

Distinguished Alumni Awards Announced
Three recipients of the Gettysburg Seminary Alumni Awards
were announced in February following their election
by the Alumni Association.
The awards will be given at the annual alumni banquet on April 27th. Receiving the 2004 Service in Specialized Ministry
will be H.
Frederick Reisz, Jr., Class of 1965, veteran
of campus ministry in Cambridge, MA, and for the last
12 years, President of the Lutheran Theological Southern
Seminary.
The 2004 Celebrated Ministry of Lifetime Service
award will be given to Rudolph
R. Featherstone, Class
of 1960, for his ability to lift up the importance
of global awareness for the students of our seminary
as they prepare to serve the church and the world. And Vernon
J. Miller, Class of 1953, will receive
the 2004 Service in Parish Setting
Award, notable for his service to the community through
commitment to the larger Christian church by constant
involvement and active help for the needy.

Glenn Palmer, ('95) military
chaplain serving
in Bagdad, has been making news since the war there
began last spring. In January 2004,
he appeared
in Newsweek's Magazine. Click here for

in early March, 2004.
