TUVAN THROAT SINGERS
Music, Gettysburg! presents Tuvan Throat Singers, the "Alash Ensemble" in a special concert on Friday, July 31, at 7:30pm. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information visit the website clickhere.
NEW WIRELESS ACCESS
As part of a small network upgrade this summer, the IT Department has replaced all the wireless access points in the Wentz Library, Valentine Hall and Singmaster Conference Center. The old ones are still in place in Valentine Hall but will be removed on June 29th. If you need to use wireless in one of these buildings all you need to do is connect to the wireless network named LTSG and enter the password when prompted. The password is posted in the library, in Singmaster and in the classrooms of Valentine Hall. The new access points provide extended coverage in comparison to the old units. CORMORANTS FANCY CONCERT SUNDAY
Sunday evening, July 5, at 5:00pm, Celtic favorites Cormorant's Fancy will perform an open-air concert in Schmucker Grove on the Seminary Campus. Bring your lawn chairs and be ready for a great evening. The band will also celebrate the release of their brand-new CD “Here and There.” See the Music, Gettysburg! website http://www.musicgettysburg.org/ .
CONCERT USHERS NEEDED
Four ushers are needed for each of the following outdoor concerts (on Friday, July 31, only two are needed for the indoor concert). This is a paid position. Ushers move trash cans, set up and tear down tables and chairs and are required to arrive 90 minutes before curtain and stay long enough to put items back. YWCA BABYSITTER TRAINING
The American Red Cross is offering a five-hour Babysitter Training course at the YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County. The training is taught by certified American Red Cross instructors and teaches youth, ages 11 to 15, to become effective babysitters. The training emphasizes prevention of, and response to, emergencies and helps develop professionalism and leadership capabilities. Tips on managing real life problems and finding babysitting jobs are also included. This one-day class will be offered July 15 and August 13 from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Registration is required and can be done at the YWCA service desk, 909 Fairfield Rd., or by calling 334-9171. The fee is $35 for YWCA Rec pass holders, $40 for basic members and $45 for non-members.

CLOTHING AVAILABLE
Donation of lots of high quality clothes, including suits/sports jackets are available. The spouse of a life-long Lutheran who recently passed away in Dillsburg would like to offer them to a Seminarian. VACTION BIBLE SCHOOL IN JULY
Announcing Gadget’s Garage VBS: July 12-16, 2009. Join children from St. James Lutheran, Christ Evangelical Lutheran and Prince of Peace Episcopal Churches for their JOINT VBS. All kids (ages 3 through 6th grade) are welcome. Mark your calendars and plan to join us at the St. James Lutheran Church, 109 York Street, Gettysburg July 12-16 from 5:30–8:00pm each evening. Dinner for the children and their families will be served at 5:30pm and the program will begin at 5:55pm. Invite your friends and join in the fun as we discover the wonderful things God is always doing through Bible stories, crafts, music, and games. INK JET CARTRIDGE RECYCLING
Used ink jet cartridges may be placed in the boxes located outside the mail room and in the Book Store for recylcing. This is only for ink jet cartridges. Not laser cartridges, batteries or cell phones.
SUMMER LUNCH TODAY
Summer lunches continue in the Valentine Hall Coffee Shop at 12:00pm for pizza, fellowship and fun. If you are able to attend please RSVP to vbrown@Ltsg.edu by 10:00am the day of the lunch, or sign up in the Coffee Shop. Bring $2.50 to cover the cost of pizza and soda. The next summer lunch is today, July 1. The final two will be July 15 and August 12.
MCGINN LECTURE AT WTU
University of Chicago Divinity School's Bernard McGinn, Ph.D. will present the lecture "Love of God and Love of Neighbor: Insights from the Mystics" at the Washington Theological Union in Washington, D.C. Thursday, July 16 at 7:30pm.
