Procedure for Requesting Transcripts:
TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM
In accordance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy
Act) guidelines, all requests for transcripts must be in writing
and must include a signature.
An official transcript includes the registrar’s signature,
date, and embossed seminary seal. An official transcript is also
printed on secure transcript paper and is enclosed in a sealed
envelope with the registrar’s signature across the seal.
There is a $10.00 fee per official transcript
(Payable to the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg).
This fee must
be submitted with the written, signed transcript request
in the form
of a check or money order. The Business Office does not bill for
transcripts or accept credit cards. If you fax a transcript request, payment
must be received before the transcript will be released.
There is no fee for an unofficial transcript but you must still
submit a transcript request. An unofficial transcript can be faxed to a specific destination.
Faxed transcripts cannot be considered official because they do
not carry the embossed seal of the institution.
Please allow
one week for processing. Transcripts will not be released if all financial obligations
to the Seminary have not been satisfied.
