International Renaissance Band Returns

Music Gettysburg! offers a festive choral concert of the early Christian choral music of Heinrich Schütz on Sunday April 25th, at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel of the Lutheran Theological Seminary. The Schola Cantorum of Gettysburg and the Boston Shawm and Sackbut Ensemble will provide the music for the distinctive evening concert, which is free and open to the public.

The motets and choral works of Schutz are regarded as the finest before Bach and the texts of the works were chosen for their imagery of consolation in times of suffering.
