Fine Arts at Gettysburg Seminary

Founded in September 1993, the Gettysburg Seminary Fine Arts Council (FAC) includes artists, seminary faculty, administrative staff, and students. Its primary focus is the visual arts and it is an institutional member of Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA).

The Council’s activities include the stewardship of the current seminary art collection, and holding exhibits on campus. For these exhibits, the FAC seeks a variety of media and themes with some theological connection. Examples have included works in wood, painting, printmaking, photography, large-scale digital prints, sculpture, mixed media, paraments and assemblages.

See great photos from the Noble Hilye Exhibit (in the Hagia Sophia) in the blog from Gettysburg Seminary professor Kristin Johnston Largen here.
