Prayer Star Devotional Resource

One of the Seminary's ways of saying thank you is to provide (without charge) a devotional resources for individuals and in bulk to congregations requesting them. The resource consists of a worship format for individual or household use, and prayers written by students, spouses, faculty and staff.

This resource is automatically sent to alumni/ae and all those who receive mail from the seminary. Additional bulk orders for congregations are filled on a first come, first served basis as long as supplies last.

The star comes partially folded, with tabs for you to secure it in the shape of a star (see photo) provide prayer time designed for morning, evening, or mealtime use.

Almighty and merciful God, you show your power in the tiny fist of an infant grasping at his mother’s breast, the power of love incarnate, of mercy and servanthood. Your strength seeks not to destroy, but to bring life, even to the weakest among us. Stir up within us the desire to seek your power in all that we say and do. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
