Wentz Library’s online catalog combines the holdings of our Cluster partners (Krauth Library at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia [LTSP] and the Lineberger Library at Lenoir-Rhyne/Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina [LTSS]) into one database to facilitate searching and retrieval. ECCO, the Eastern Cluster Catalog Online, is accessible through the LTSG Library homepage
. The Library public computers automatically call up the Library homepage.
ALL patrons (both Seminary and non-Seminary) may request Cluster Loans. This can be done by either of two ways:
1. ONLINE. After the desired item is found in the catalog, COPY and PASTE the requested information from the ECCO bibliographic record into the appropriate boxes below. (Our online catalog does not currently accommodate loan requests directly from its bibliographic records.)
2. IN PERSON by completing the orange paper form located near the western-most public computer and giving it to Ms. Karen Hunt or the library assistant on duty at the Circulation Desk. Please write clearly!
After the request is made, please allow for at least one week for the book(s) to arrive. You, the patron, will be notified by email (or by phone if you have no email address) that your request has arrived. NOTE: The item will already be charged out to you when you request it at the Circulation desk.
ALL PATRONS (BOTH SEMINARY AND NON-SEMINARY) ARE LIMITED TO 5 CLUSTER LOAN REQUESTS PER DAY.
Interlibrary loans are requests for materials obtained from libraries throughout the world when the Cluster does not have the book. These can be requested in two ways:
1. ONLINE. Search for and find the item desired through WORLDCAT which is located on the ECCO catalog page. When the desired item is found, under ‘Availability’ click on ‘Borrow this item from another library (Interlibrary Loan)’ and fill in the required fields (name, phone, and email address ONLY) in the form and click ‘submit’.
2. IN PERSON by completing the orange form located by the western-most public computer and given to Ms. Susann Posey or the Circulation Assistant staffing the Circulation Desk.
The patron will be notified by email when the item arrives, and it can be picked up at the patron’s convenience at the Circulation Desk. THE ITEM WILL ALREADY BE CHARGED OUT TO THE PATRON.
Interlibrary Loans are loaned ONLY for the period indicated on the pink band attached to the item.
Interlibrary loans usually CANNOT BE RENEWED.
Interlibrary loans usually take about one week to obtain.
INTERLIBRARY LOANS ARE MADE ONLY FOR LTSG STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF. Courtesy borrowers may request interlibrary loans through their home public libraries.
