Pastoral Care is
provided by a number of people in the seminary community, including
the seminary
president and others on the faculty and staff, the dean
of the chapel and faculty informally.

The Rev. Dr. Mark Oldenburg |
The Dean of the Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Mark Oldenburg,
oversees the worship life and chapel coordination. Formerly
the seminary chaplain, he continues to serve as Professor of
Worship, teaching liturgics to a growing student body.

___________________________________________ Spiritual Direction
People trained and active as spiritual directors
are willing to enter into relationships with seminarians.
Pr. Robert Hoover, a Lutheran pastor in Sommerset, PA, is available
on campus on the first Thursday of each month. Pastor Kathy can
connect
you
with
off-campus
folk
prepared to serve as spiritual directors. If payment is a problem,
she also has funds available to help.
The "mutual conversation and consolation of the faithful" has
long been an important mark of the church. Students and their families,
therefore, are responsible to a considerable degree for caring
for each other.
